Meta released the second-generation Oculus Touch controllers on March 20, 2019, coinciding with the launch of the Oculus Rift S VR headset. Notably, several improvements were made in this iteration compared to the original model, including a change in the orientation of the IR rings, which now faced upward. Each of these controllers features three buttons, an analog stick, two triggers, and a touchpad, all of which are equipped with capacitive sensing technology.
These upgraded Touch controllers are exclusively available as part of bundles with the Rift S and Quest VR headsets. It's important to note that they are compatible only with the Rift S and Quest headsets and also offer compatibility with SteamVR.
